Everything You Need to Know Before Moving Day
What happens if my closing date changes at the last minute?
I know how stressful the Knightdale real estate market can be. If you're closing gets pushed, just let me know as soon as you can. It is honestly not a huge issue, we will discuss the situation, and easily move you to another date that fits your schedule and ours.
Do you provide boxes, or am I on my own for that?
You don't have to hunt for boxes behind grocery sotres (unless you want to and I would 100% get it)! We can provide all the supplies you need and want. We can bring everything from bubble wrap, TV boxes, wardrobe boxes, and more.
Are you actually insured, or just some guy (and girl) with a truck?
This is a big one! Jones Helps U Move is fully insured. I carry the coverage required by North Carolina to protect your belongings. As a woman business owner, I definately pay attention to the details of making sure everything is in order for our clients peace of mind because I would want the same from a business that is literally taking my lifes posessions into their hands.
How do you handle heavy stuff like my gun safe or piano?
We don't 'eing it' with heavy items. We use floor runners, specific professional dollies, and thick padding to make sure your home is protected and your valuable items make it to their detination safely.
Do I need to empty my dresser out before you move them?
Actually, if there's just clothing or other light items inside them you can leave them inside. It saves you time and box space. Just make sure there's nothing fragile or valuable in them before our crew moves them.
Can you help me with a move that is going outside of the Triangle?
Absolutely. We will move you from any surrounding area around Knightdale, Raleigh, Apex, Holly Springs, Clayton, etc. to any destination of your choosing in the country - making us the perfect choice for any local or long-distance move.
What if it rains on my moving day?
We do live in North Carolina, so we are used to the ever-changing weather! We use extra shrink-wrap and take precations for your floors to keep your furniture and your new carpets dry. Unless it's a major safety hazard, the move goes on.
How far in advance should I get on your calandar?
The earlier, the better - especially for weekend moving requests. Most people reach out 3 to 4 weeks before their move, but if you have a last-minute situation (you realize you can't do it all on your own or your movers don't show) give us a call. We do our best to accomodate everyone, and can most likely help you out with moving services the same day.
Do you take apart my beds and put them back together?
That is actually one of our core services with all moves we perform. We provide this at no extra cost as it is included in the hourly rate and taken into account when given a flat-rate (genrally only provided for long-distance moves0. However, please keep in mind that we only put furniture together that we took apart ourselves when it is clearly a simple set-up or there are clear instructions on how to do so.
Is there anything you won't move?
For safety reasons, we can't move flamable liguids (like propane tanks or gas cans), firearms, or certain hazardous chemicals. If you're unsure about an item, just ask me in the time before your moving day or during your walk-through with your crew leader.
